Red Caboose Park | Bellevue, TN
On Saturday, May 21, 2016 the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce will host the 39th Annual Bellevue Community Picnic presented by Nashville Christian School. The event is located at Red Caboose Park, 656 Colice Jeanne Rd (Hwy 70), Bellevue, TN 37221 and is a free event, open to the public. This year’s picnic features over myriad of local vendors, unique food trucks, live music, arts and crafts, petting zoo, inflatables, rides and the day will end with a spectacular fireworks show.
The first Bellevue Community Picnic began in 1978 when D.E. Ryan, at the time, owner of Century 21 Westmead Realty, wanted to do something special to thank his Bellevue-area clients. Ryan threw a community picnic that involved a small sound system and free watermelons drawing a crowd of a 1000 community members.
In the early 1990’s the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce took over the organization and running of the picnic. The picnic now has grown into one of the most popular events on the west side of Nashville drawing close to 15,000 attendees in any given year.
